Torsional Soft Roller Couplings for Diesel Engines
The torsionally soft CENTAFLEX-CO coupling series was built for use in diesel engine driven systems subject to high torsional vibration. Thanks to the robust and fail-safe construction, rubber rollers are installed under precompression and remain preloaded. This unique, precision-engineered coupling was extensively researched and developed using the ROSTA rubber roller principle for unsurpassed performance. Ventilation of the rubber elements allows elements to withstand high-stress and high-temperature conditions. The CENTAFLEX-CO couplings offer reliability, high torsional elasticity, and wear resistance. The CENTAFLEX-CO couplings offer consistent torsional stiffness throughout the torque range, damp torsional vibrations and shock loads, and compensate moderate axial, radial, and angular misalignments.

CENTAFLEX-CO couplings are highly flexible and extremely robust. The outer flywheel flange consists of an aluminum casting with a square inner chamber. Rubber rollers made of high-grade materials are pre-compressed within a solid, fiber-reinforced plastic inner hub. This combination of plastic inner chamber and a steel-driven hub is free from wear and fretting corrosion. Innovative ventilation allows operation under high temperatures, and CENTAFLEX-CO couplings are available in variations to stand up to even higher temperature applications. With blind assembly and easy mounting, the CENTAFLEX-CO requires minimal maintenance. Available for standard and non-standard engine flywheels.
